~The Principle of Love~
The rabbit spoke again.
“User? Can you hear Us?“
But he didn’t get an answer.
“IT WOULD SEEM USER IS DEEPLY ABSORBED IN HIS BOOK RIGHT NOW, WE CONCLUDE THAT THE PRUDENT COURSE OF ACTION WOULD BE TO WAIT FOR HIM TO FINISH.”
“Understood, I will remain in standby.”
Having heard BIBLIOS’ command the rabbit’s ears drooped and its eyes grew dull, Lemoine meanwhile was in fact reading the first paragraph of the book while at the same time doing much more than just reading a book, something inside him was touched by what was written.

~The Rabbit in the Outfield~
He had been ready to catch himself should he lose his balance, but the sheer smoothness of the transition left him stumbling and nearly send him falling square on his face despite his best efforts not to. He was able to steady himself, ungracefully, while turning a few heads. Bracing himself for another battle he could not believe his eyes when instead of pouncing on him all people around him just shrugged and got back to reading. Seeing how he was seemingly safe for the moment Lemoine visibly relaxed and started looking around: What he saw left him absolutely speechless.
Around him stood bookshelves, thousands,

~Paintings in Light~
As he set foot on the street in front of „The Pit“ the first thing Lemoine noticed was that the city had changed: Where the city had been a near colorless dusty field with some tall some small building in the same color-lacking color, it now was filled with light: Everywhere Lemoine turned he was surrounded by humongous towers showering him with light, light in all colors, light so bright it made him sneeze, the light was so intense that he felt sure each of these towers held its own sun inside. As his eyes got used to the intensity of the light, which was like nothing he had ever experienced, the brightest m

Yes, that was what he thought however! When he found himself outside his allocated room again he was, once more, overcome with the sheer size of the situation he had, some way or another, gotten himself into. Trying his hardest to inconspicuously dry his hands on his hands he swallowed twice before steeling his resolve and walking back up to the Innkeeper.
“So… uhm… let me get this straight, you actually build a copy of my flat in one of your rooms? Why?”
At this the Innkeeper grinned, baring a few rows of gray, stone-like and seemingly completely even teeth, and contorting his face in a

Lemoine walked up to the strange innkeeper, taking the key from an outstretched tentacle, making sure he didn’t touch any of his oozing, greenish skin. “Room 192,” the innkeeper said as Lemoine began back away from him. “That one should be a suitable size for a person of your stature… If indeed that’s what you are… a person.”
Lemoine thought about saying, “What’s that supposed to mean,” but decided he was too afraid of the answer to press it. Lemoine surveyed the room once more, looking for a door with 192 written on it among the still-mind

As soon as his front foot breached the threshold of the building screams hit Lemoine like he’d just dived face first into a lake on the coldest day of winter. Two creatures ran circles inside what appeared to be a hotel lobby… Two creatures with two heads each. They were only knee high to him, children it seemed. Yes, they were circling what must have been their mother, who had a more than either of them! They must have been playing, like any toddler, circling their mother in a game of chase as she attended to whatever it was she needed to from the person – creature – behind the desk in front of her, bu

"Well, well, what do you think what I am ?" Asked Hel with a smirk on her face. "How am I supposed to know ? I don't even know what this weird palce is or how I got here!" "Well, what is the last thing you remember ?" After thinking for a few moments Lemoine answered "I remember falling asleep ?" "And that's all ? Anything unusual ?" asked Hel, again Lemoine thought for a bit before finally answering "Well, I guess i was feeling a bit weak... but it was in the middle of a meeting, someone would have woken me up, so why am I here ?" At that Hel sighed "Well, fine, you don't get it do you ? You are *dead*!" As he heard that Lemoine started laug

As Lemoine opened his eyes, the first thing he saw was a huge wall made up of blue stone, lined with images of lions and dragons. "You stand before the great city of gates, Drawaza D'Ishtar, or just Ishtar. You are aware what this means, right ?" As Lemoine turned around he talked to the person behind him "No, I don't. My name is Lemoine, may I ask for your name ?" As Lemoine turned around to look at the stranger he saw a beautiful woman, though something seemed to be wrong, yet he couldn't put it in words. "You... don't sound like a woman." "I am no woman, not in the way you mean it." "I don't understand?" "I am aware of that, you are in Irr

Driven by the urge to work and be the best, no one was really surprised when, or how he died. One day while working he just slumped down in his chair and was gone from this world... Death was something he had always tried to avoid, it meant failing to him, having failed at life, death was the only exit, but it was something he secretly wished he'd never have to experience, even though he usually was no one to long for such foolish things as he knew he could never attain immortality. So, as he died, his last thought was that even for him, the time had come to face his inevitable failure. Even in death he was aiming to be the best, to be the st
